Optimising horticultural energy efficiency
In collaboration with VDE Plant, Bosman Van Zaal is delighted to have played a key role in advancing energy efficiency and sustainability in the horticultural sector. By delivering cutting-edge electrical and heating/cooling installations, we have significantly enhanced VDE Plant's capacity to maintain ideal growth conditions for their crops. This project marks another step towards a greener, more sustainable future in horticulture.
VDE Plant
Rooted in Dutch soil since 1948, VDE Plant is a family-run enterprise dedicated to nurturing exceptional tropical houseplants. Guided by eco-conscious principles, they cultivate a diverse range of vibrant greenery in their South Holland nursery, including a selection of air-purifying varieties. Under the leadership of Karin and Edwin van der Eijk, alongside Hein Visser, VDE Plant continues to blossom, bringing the beauty of nature into homes worldwide.
Energy efficient heating
Our project involves the integration of a second flue gas condenser in conjunction with a state-of-the-art heat pump, positioned behind VDE Plant's existing CHP installation. This innovative technology allows them to harness previously wasted heat, significantly boosting their energy efficiency and leading to substantial cost savings.
We installed an electric boiler, providing a versatile solution to manage energy fluctuations. We also deliverd a Carrier 30KWH installation.
